We are working with a leading brand within their industry to recruit for an Area Sales Representative. This role is covering the Kent territory and we are looking for a candidate that can focus on building long lasting customer relationships and identity key targets within their market. The successful candidate will have previous account management experience and the business acumen to analyse and grow their business share in their market place.

o Create and execute plan to develop relevant product groups for individual customers
o Set appropriate call plan
o Understand competitors in the market within individual customers
o Promote relevant promotions & campaigns
o Maintain up to date & accurate activity records for customers
o Generate opportunities for new customer and understand needs of potential customers
o Design and deliver sales presentations to secure new accounts
o Work in partnership with internal partners to develop and deliver a plan which provides added value to current and potential customers
o Build effective business relationships with multiple stakeholders.
o Analyse sales trends to understand customer performance
o Maximising Growth Profit
o Negotiate effectively
o Effectively utilise discount structure
o Create plan to introduce benefits & cost reductions
o Analyse and interpret reports i.e. high/low profit areas and create action plans to maximise revenue opportunity
Experience and Knowledge:
· Previous experience in account management and/or territory sales
· Gross margin & gross profit awareness.
· Account management and relationship building
· Results orientated
· Previous B2B field sales experience or internal B2B sales experience
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
· Excellent communication (inc. listening and negotiating skills)
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills
· Excellent IT skills including comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
· Highly self-motivated
· Ownership of customer relationship
· Development of target customers
· Valid UK driving licence
