Applications Engineer
£30,000 - £40,000 Depending on experience

Due to our clients continued growth we are looking to recruit an applications engineer for the technical support of products, demonstrations and training of internal, external and prospective customers.

Duties Include but are not limited to:

*Travel with and assist with sales personnel and independent sales personnel in demonstrating and training of the Optical Fibre Test equipment product line to customers and distributors
*Provide training to existing and new accounts on the Optical Fibre Test Equipment
*Assist sales in identifying new market opportunities for product line.
*Establish criteria for demonstration and training of the Optical Fibre Test Equipment line when needed. Attend trade and convention venues, centring on industry specific products.
*Assist sales team with expansion and communication of new customer network
*Develop and deliver in conjunction with Sales, training and demonstrations on selected equipment for internal and external personnel when required.
*Provide customer assistance in regard to application and uses of Optical Fibre products.
*Assist sales in the development and testing of new equipment
*Establish and maintain line of communication with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Sales to facilitate product development, new application needs or quality issues.
*Maintain constant observation and provide data to the Sales department for changes and trends within the industry.
*Travel as required; UK, Europe, Middle East and others
*Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.

Skills/Experience Required:
*Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent experience gained within the fibre optic industry
*Hands on experience in the optical fibre industry is desirable
*Ability to train customers on use of products
*Ability to make presentations in small group environment.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
*Good verbal and written communication skills.
