Job Title: Business Support Officer (Planning Team)

Pay Rate; £16 per hour

Business Support Officer (Planning)
Duties and Responsibilities for this job-

-Validation of Planning Applications
To Validate and process all types of planning applications including checking submissions against national and local checklists and relevant guidance, checking accuracy of the drawings, identifying statutory and non-statutory consultees in compliance with the Council's requirements.

-Using Uniform (Idox) to redact, upload and update all documents and relevant information relating to Planning Applications

- Providing advice on planning applications. To provide information, guidance and advice as required to applicants, agents and members of the public

-Provide responses to correspondence and telephone enquiries, complaints and E-mails within the Council's Corporate timescales.

-Liaison with officers in development management, planning policy and other departments.

-To undertake other duties and responsibilities of a similar nature and of a similar responsibility to those described above, which may be allocated from time to time and to provide cover for absent team members
