Our client offers leading vehicle test and validation services to customers in the automotive, transport, tyre, petrochemical, defence and security industries. They are looking for an Administrative Assistant (Temporary role) to join their Facilities and Maintenance department based near Bedford in Bedfordshire. The Administrative Assistant will support all areas of the Proving Ground to ensure the site and buildings are well maintained and that projects are delivered on time and to budget.

The Administrative Assistant will be offered an hourly rate and will be expected to work 16-20 hours a week which can be arranged around the successful candidate's preferred hours but will need to work between Monday and Friday. The successful candidate is likely to be outgoing, have good communication skills with a background in an office environment; they will be accustomed to working with Excel, Word and other software packages.

Role Responsibilities:

*Data Input into Excel, Word and other software applications
*Raising purchase orders with suppliers, chasing orders and updating Facilities tracker, maintaining database
*Invoicing
*Answering telephone queries
*Responsibility for the Vending machine maintenance call outs
*Deputising for reception duties during lunch breaks and busy periods

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

*Experience of working within an office environment
*Customer service experience preferred
*Ability to work within a team that is dynamic & fast moving adapting to a very diverse & demanding work load.
*Excellent organisational and administrative skills
*Good knowledge of relevant office software most notably Microsoft Excel and Word
*Effective communication and interpersonal skills
*Good general education
*Strong telephone skills
*Must have excellent organisational and time management skills
*Passionate about creating excellence in customer service
*Ability to work under pressure
*Self-motivated and driven
*Resourceful and self sufficient
*Team Player
*Act in accordance with the behaviours for staff at all times
*Full UK driving license
*Willing to undergo a Criminal Records bureau check
