My global oil & gas client is looking for an outstanding Finance Assistant to join their team in Central London.

The role has a large focus within accounts payable but the role will work within other area's of the finance department.

Day to Day the role will consist of but not limited to:
*Maintaining up to date invoice logs; this will include the management of the actuals versus budget and the payment dates.
*Managing the invoice processing and coding of accounts payable invoices as per the Chart of Accounts.
*Reviewing and approving invoices processed meeting tight deadlines.
*Ensuring the accuracy of general ledger whilst coordinating all accounts, A/P, bank and suspense accounts.
*Preparing monthly support for the closing of the accounts
*Raising invoices
*Reviewing and managing all expenses on the expense report system, making sure that they were submitted on time and follow up as necessary with staff members.
*Maintaining financial books and records whilst implement financial controls.
*Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

You should have a good understanding of the compliance related needed for this role and be able to manage a large workload.

The ideal candidate will have:
*An accountancy qualification such as CIMA or ACCA.
*Prior experience working with major oil and gas companies preferred, this would ideally include knowledge of the financial and commercial terms and issues involved
*Knowledge of UK GAAP accounting and requirements
*Knowledge of US GAAP accounting requirements
