Our Client in Bognor Regis is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their established close-knit team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave for one year. There may be potential for the position to be made permanent after this time.

This is a varied role that would suit someone with excellent attention to detail and has the ability to work efficiently and accurately to ensure deadlines are met. You will also be someone that works well under pressure and without close supervision.

Duties include but are not limited to:

·  Being the first point of contact for all supplier and customer financial queries

·  Managing cash flow by regularly reviewing internal reports

·  Managing, processing, submitting and chasing payment claims & retentions

·  Being proactive and ensuring timely payment of invoices by debtors, updating the invoice status report

·  Evaluating new credit account requests using Experian and setting credit limits

·  Inputting supplier invoices into Sage and Access database and code with correct nominal codes

·  Taking customer credit card payments as applicable

·  Processing engineer's timesheets and passing hours to the bookkeeper for payroll

·  Reconciling the credit card statement & petty cash monthly

·  Chasing and logging paperwork/folders in from engineers & saving, including scanning

·  in of drawings

·  Handling incoming and outgoing post

·  Helping with general office upkeep - ordering stationery, recycling/rubbish collections -shredding collections / keeping office and kitchen tidy

Skills required:

·  Able to work and adapt in a fast paced and growing environment

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·  Have a flexible attitude, be approachable, enthusiastic and willing to learn

·  Experienced administrator with previous experience within accounts

·  Strong IT skills set

·  Previous experience using Sage, Microsoft Applications and bespoke IT software

This position is full time working Monday - Friday 8.00am-4.30pm and you may be asked to work overtime where required.

You will be required to work in the office for this position - The offices are Covid secure and social distancing measures are in place.
