My client is a global provider of insurance products, with Irish offices based in the vibrant area of Dublin 1.
An rare opportunity currently exists for a suitably qualified accounts assistant to join their growing team.
The successful individual will be working within the Administration, Finance and Control team, being involved in the control and analysis of the statutory accounts, regulatory or compliance information for the organisation and stakeholders.
This role will report directly to the Administration & Tax Manager.
Responsibilities will include:
Preparing and maintaining accounting records with proper supporting documentation (journal entries) and work with the business departments to define provision and accrual and other accounting
Assist the Manager for the preparation of the Regulatory Reporting to the Central Bank of Ireland
Prepare payments and process the bank transfers and record with accuracy journal entries in the accounting system.
Reconciliations of debtors and creditors, including inter company balances.
Credit collection. Dealing with Clients, Brokers and international offices on a daily basis for collection activities
Preparing Monthly and weekly Bank Reconciliations
Producing Monthly Report on Account Receivable monitoring activities
Preparing the data for SII Reporting (excel tables) data extracted from the accounting system
Data entry in the Financial reporting system
Knowledge & Skills:
Previous knowledge of working within a general insurance company (preferred) or other financial institution
1 years of experience in CFO area i.e. Finance and accounting departments
Proficiency in IT (Office package), SUN system preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work across departmental and organisational lines
Ability to operate within strict reporting deadlines
Strong time management and organisational skills with an ability to prioritise workload and multitask several initiatives at the same time
Excellent team player who fully participates in and supports departmental initiatives
English language with Italian (preferred but not essential)
