Accounts Payable Assistant - 3 Month Contact
Department: Finance, Global Shared Services
Division: Seqirus
Employment Type: Temporary (but full time 5 days a week, standard office hours are 8am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 1pm on Friday)
Pay rate - £9.23 per hour PAYE to the candidate.
Summary of Role:
Involvement in the processing, review and reporting of transactions ensuring compliance with standard processes and procedures. Areas primarily around accounts payable but will also include accounts receivable, treasury, financial accounting and reporting.
Reporting Structure:
Role reports to the Manager of Financial Accounting and Reporting via the relevant manager for the relevant functional area.
Responsibilities: the successful candidate will be expected to undertake duties in some of the areas listed below
Master Data
- review master data and verify back to source information, correct as necessary
Accounts Payable
- Complete supplier statement reconciliations
- verify invoices that have been paid to bank payments
-Identify any duplicate payments of invoices
-Scan and attach invoices to underlying SAP documents
-Manage email inboxes by which the department receives invoices and queries, listing invoices received, issues, responding to queries and compiling metrics
This role is across multiple entities including Spain, Netherlands, USA, Italy, UK, Canada, Argentina as required.
Key Relationships (both internal and external)
Role reports to the Manager of Financial Accounting and Reporting via the relevant manager for the relevant functional area, and is included within the Finance Global Shared Services for the division
Job Environment
Working hours: Full time, with out-of-normal-hours work and travel required.
POSITION SPECIFICATION
Essential Qualifications/Experience:
Graduate in a degree requiring numerate or business skills; finance and accounting, business studies or economics preferred.
Graduates for with other degrees will be considered provided that they have A-level mathematics.
Previous work experience beneficial but is not required as all necessary training will be provided.
Previous experience of using Microsoft products, in particular excel is required though expert knowledge is not required.
