The role:

• NEC / JCT Contract Expertise: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of NEC / JCT contracts to effectively manage project costs, budgets, and contract variations.
• Cost Management: Monitor project costs, prepare detailed cost estimates, and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Preparing Bill of Quantities.
• Procurement: Lead procurement activities for packages, including subcontractor selection and negotiation. Ensure cash flow is optimised through valuations and control of subcontractor accounts     
• Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
• Risk Management: Assess and manage risks related to all aspects of projects, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary. Maximise profitability having regard to client and subcontractor relations, third party incomers and the company's strategic objectives regarding client relations and the risk/reward philosophy
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including cost forecasting and cash flow analysis. Conduct monthly internal reporting through the CVR and internal commercial management procedures
• Contractual Compliance: Ensure contractual compliance and timely resolution of disputes and claims.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to achieve project objectives. Conduct monthly reporting to the client in accordance with the contract and the client periodical reporting procedure

Requirements:

• Quantity Surveying experience
• NEC / JCT forms of contract knowledge
• Civil engineering / Rail / Energy background
