Job description

Key tasks

In charge of tidying and cleaning Spa & Recreation area every day, in line with applicable norms and standards and the rules of safety and hygiene. Reports to the Assistant Spa & Recreation Manager.

PROFESSIONAL TECHNIQUES
-Complete locker room cleaning and duty checklist each shift areas include: Locker areas, Vanity counters, Bathrooms, Sink areas, Shower areas, Steam Rooms, Saunas & Pool entry.
-Make sure all amenities are always fully stocked: shampoo, conditioner, lotion, tissues, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.
-Make sure there are always enough clean folded towels for all the guests.
-Report any broken equipment or accessories to the Assistant Spa & Recreation manager or Spa & Recreation Manager.
-Be aggressively hospitable with members and guests; offer greeting and partings wishes.
-Follow and enforce all safety policies applicable to locker rooms and laundry room.
-Other responsibilities as assigned by the DH.
-Remains polite and courteous at all times whatever customers may request
-Respects guests' privacy while working.
-Takes guests' behavior patterns into consideration
-If necessary, explains to guests how to use certain equipment.
-Checks that equipment is in good working order, informing the Spa & Recreation Manager of any anomalies
-Applies the procedure for handling lost property
-Sorts and counts dirty linen items before sending to laundry
-Sorts waste
-Respects guidelines on the use of cleaning products
-Handles hotel equipment, complimentary welcome gifts and room linen with due care
-Is responsible for cleaning and restocking the trolley every day
-Keeps the trolley and store room impeccably tidy

COMMERCIAL / SALES
-Ensures harmony in the decor of rooms and common areas
-Knows the hotel and its services can inform and encourage guests if asked about them

HYGIENE / ENVIRONMENT
-Ensures that the corridors are kept clean and free of obstacles
-Respects the rules of hygiene and cleanliness and safety guidelines for guests' property
-Applies the hotel's security regulations
-Respects the hotel's commitments to the 'Environment Charter' (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc)

EDUCATION / PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
-Vocational certificate in Accommodation or diploma in Hospitality and/or anyone eager to work in the sector regardless of their educational background, pending validation of their skills (can be trained directly by the Housekeeper as required)
-At least 1 year's experience in the position
-Languages: fluent in the national language and good spoken English.
