Key tasks

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Spa Manager for the busy 4 star Mercure Cardiff Holland house Hotel & Spa.

The facility boasts 12 treatment rooms, relaxation room and dining room offering a variety of treatments using our product houses Decleor, Orly and Comfort Zone.

The role of the Spa Manager is to report to the Operations Manager with responsibilities including:
• Managing the diary of bookings and co-ordinating resources to maximise sales/treatment opportunities.
• Managing rotas to maximise productivity
• Recruitment and selection of a team of Therapists (Full-time, Part-time and Casual)
• Training and development of therapists to provide the best possible service standards
• Lead and coach Therapists in delivering high quality treatments in line with the spa brochure
• Encourage and drive retail sales with the team
• Management of 3rd party partners and control online portals for booking availability
• Managing stock levels and ordering to budget and business needs
• Strategically plan and promote offers in line with the Commercial Action Plan using the available channels
• Ensure safe practices are adhered to in accordance with Accor Health & Safety Policy

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar managerial role
• Be level NVQ level 3 qualified (or equivalent)
• Have working knowledge of Decleor products and treatments
• Experience of leading and training a team of Therapists
• Experience of working in a busy spa
• Ability to ensure high service standards
• Understand the ‘client journey’
• Ability to handle complaints articulately and effectively
• A friendly and positive demeanor

The full-time position includes working shifts in line with business hours and the post holder will be required to support Therapists during peak times with treatments if necessary.
