Job Description
Job Purpose
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving room revenue and total hotel revenue through Japan-based inbound travel agencies, tour operators, and DMCs, managing both Group and FIT segments. This role builds strategic partnerships, negotiates commercial agreements, executes sales action plans, and ensures strong account management to grow market share for Fairmont Tokyo in Japan’s inbound travel trade.

Qualifications
More than 3 years of hotel sales experience (luxury/upscale preferred), with direct exposure to inbound travel agencies in Japan
Proven track record in driving FIT and/or group production

Language Requirements
· Japanese: Native or fluent (business level)
· English: Business level (email, calls, negotiations)
Required Skills & Competencies
· Strong understanding of Japan inbound travel trade (wholesalers, DMCs, tour operators, FIT distribution)
· Solid negotiation and contracting skills (FIT and group terms)
· Commercial mindset: revenue optimization, displacement awareness, profitability focus
· Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management
· Strong communication and presentation skills
· High organization, pipeline management, and follow-through
· Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint)
