Key tasks

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To take charge of the Hotel Security during duty hours.
Before taking over duty, be familiar with all the activities, which happened after your previous duty. Read the latest instructions. Brief your Subordinate Officers of the past, present and near future Events in the Hotel.
Deploy your Subordinate Officer according to the Duty Roster and supervise them.
Responsible for securing all hotel properties, staff and clientele in accordance with the procedures lay down in the security manual.
Enforce the Hotel’s Rules and Regulations.
Observes guest and others, patrol lobbies, corridors, back of the house areas, public room and surroundings to detect infringement or suspicious person courteously.
Keep a watchful eye on the Luggage and other belongings left unattended.
Conduct investigations and keep superiors informed on accidents involving disturbance, accident, losses, thefts, etc. occurring in the hotel during their tour of duty. Confers with superiors regarding findings, prepares necessary reports.
Accompanies Duty Manager in investigating irregularities in guest rooms and public area when requested.
Ensure that the Security Check-Point is clean at all times, check all the books, Files, Security Passes, Singapore Identity Cards, Work Permits, all the keys in the Key Press, Parcel Pass, all the Equipment in the Security Office, etc. Check all staff, Part-timers, Contract workers, visitors and their possessions when they leave the Hotel.
Write detail report regarding incidents of theft, loss, injury, destruction of property and other matters affecting the Hotel.
Take immediate action for the recovery of any item reported loss in the guest room, office, store, etc
Provide security coverage for VIP guests, tour groups, checking in/out of the Hotel
Ensure the smooth flow of traffic in the Hotel’s driveway and its vicinity. Also, to ensure that the area is clean, free from oil and litter.
Patrol the guest floors and ensures all guest rooms are looked. Ensure all the offices are locked after office hours.
Inform the Front Office – Duty Manager of all Joiners
Ensure all Lost and Found properties are recorded in the Occurrence Book, hand them over to the Housekeeping Department as soon as possible and keep the Duty Manager informed. All valuable items must be handed over to Safety & Security Manager for safekeeping until a claim is made.
Escort the General Cashier from Front Office to her office, from her office.
Be familiar with the Fire Emergency Plan and be a member of the Fire Fighting Team (FFT). Take necessary action whenever the Fire Alarm activates
Render first aid to the sick and the injured person
Perform any other duty as required by the Safety & Security Manager and / or his designate from time to time.
