Key tasks

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rooms Division Manager, to provide positive leadership, clear vision, direction and appropriate support for the Front Office and Housekeeping team.

Accountabilities include:
•Overseeing the effective Daily Accounting Procedures within the Front Office function
•Promoting and training effective Sales Activity within the Front Office team
•Health & Safety – to proactively minimise risk to staff, customers and contractors fostering a strong Health & Safety Culture at all times
•To implement/champion energy conservation measures and environmentally friendly working practises
•To deliver the planned revenues margins and profit targets and exploit opportunities in a way that optimises results
•Stringent compliance with relevant brand stanadrds defined for service delivery, product presentation, systems of work and customer interaction
•Recruiting, managing, developing, training and motivating the team
•Working as one team with the other Hotel managers

The ideal candidate would be someone who is an experienced Business Centre Manager / Head of Department preferably within the Front Office function, with the drive and ambition to become a Hotel Operations Manager / General Manager in the future.

You will need to have excellent attention to detail and be able to make sound commercial and financial decisions under pressure as well as being a good communicator both written and verbally.

Having previous experience of IPMS / Opera would be a significant advantage.
