Then you might be our next Public Area Attendant
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Clean assigned public areas, Heart of House areas and offices according to the Fairmont Pacific Rim’s standards. This involves changing garbage, cleaning the bathrooms, vacuuming/mopping floors, cleaning windows, dusting, polishing, replenishing amenities, cleaning the parkade, and special projects as assigned.
· Assist any guest with any request.
· Actively participate in the Fairmont Pacific Rim’s environmental program and department specific initiatives in working towards sustainable operations.
· To be Health & Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment.
· Performs any and all other tasks which are assigned by management.
· Upholds the highest standard of internal and external customer service by demonstrating Fairmont Service Essentials and applying 5 Diamond Service Standards at all time
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Previous guest service and/or Housekeeping experience is an asset.
· Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
· Ability to work flexible schedule, including AM and PM shifts (between 7AM and midnight)
· Team oriented.
Physical Aspects of Position(include but are not limited to):
· Constant standing and walking throughout shift
· Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
· Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
· Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Scheduling requirements:
· Must be available Friday evenings and all day Saturdays and Sundays due to business volumes
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
