Key tasks

The Front Office department at Sofitel Queenstown Hotel & Spa is looking for a permanent part time Relief Night Manager/Night Porter to join their team.
In this role you will ensure a professional and attentive service is provided and expectations exceeded.
-Cover the reception desk during the hours of 10.30pm and 7.00am including check in and check out, phones, etc.
-Cross check and balance work completed during the day for all outlets
on a shift basis. Prepare reports to reflect the trading result of the property on
a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
-Asses and review guest satisfaction via internal survey and social media
-Observe liquor and food safety regulations. Ensure compliance with occupational Health and Safety regulations.
-Supervising bar activities after 10pm
-Collate and print international newspapers.
-Control after-hours access to the property.

Essential and optional requirements

-Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role, preferably including 5 star experience.
-Manger’s Certificate is required and Food Safety is preferred.
-Full, clean valid manual driver’s license is essential.
-Working knowledge of Opera.
-Effective numeracy, verbal and written communication skills in English.
-Desire and ability to train and develop staff.
-Flexibility to work 7 day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
