Key tasks

Position Overview

The Night Manager welcomes all guests and takes care of them from arrival through to departure.
They contribute to guest satisfaction by providing high quality services with a warm and friendly and Heartist approach
They ensure a smooth and secure environment to all the guests during the night and supervise and support the Night auditors/Night Team Leader the team at night shift.

Main responsibilities

• Welcomes guests as soon as they arrive with care and attention, with a personalised approach.
• Is proactive, anticipates guests needs and looks for suitable solutions
• Conveys the hotel image and promotes company’s loyalty programme LeClub
• Develops quality relationships with guests in order to create “raving fans”
• Takes part in, organises and supervises guest arrivals and departures
• Trains, coaches and motivates Night Auditors
• Assists as requested with the solving of any guest feedback and is able to handle them in an efficient and
• satisfying manner
• Has knowledge of the facilities and services, events offered by the hotel and the surrounding area and
• actively promotes them
• Carries out all operations concerning guests arrival and departure in compliance with payment procedure
• Competent in taking Reservations, upselling where possible to maximise on average room rate
• Programmes wake up calls, orders newspapers and ensures they are delivered to bedrooms
• Able to coordinate hotel emergency situations
• Patrols all area of the hotel on a regular basis to make a report of any fire or H&S hazards or maintenance

• Collects breakfast cards
• Informs guests about formalities, any special conditions relating to their stay and the services available.
• Actively contributes to the qualitative and quantitative targets of the department
• Organises book out of guests if necessary trying to minimise the cost to the hotel
• Ensures the security of the hotel and is responsible for the safety and security of both staff and guests
• Audits room rates, charges, reconciles and balances revenues generated as per night audit checklist
• Prepares and delivers room service orders at Night time * if applicable
