We are conveniently located in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, right opposite Southern Cross Station. The hotel features 190 rooms and apartments, a fully equipped conference centre with 10 function spaces, two restaurants and a bar.
Job Description
As our Night Auditor, you will work closely with our Night Manager to deliver a welcoming experience to all our guests, maintain the presentation and security of the hotel, and support the Manager to complete the overnight reporting responsibilities that are crucial to the success of the team.
In this part-time role, we are looking for someone who is keen to work 2-3 shifts per week, from 11pm to 7am.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Be the night-time face of the hotel offering a warm and professional welcome to all guests, anticipating and meeting guest needs as they occur during the shift
· Effective supervision of late guest arrivals and early departures ensuring that room allocations and check in/check out processes follow set procedures and are customer focused
· Run reports and draw up statistical information as required by finance policies and procedures
· Complete relevant computer tasks in relation to Night Audit functions, including posting room charges and daily room revenue.
· Ensure that all company and department procedures and policies are followed
· Maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of the lobby and public areas of the hotel
Qualifications
· Previous experience in a Front Office role, such as Guest Service Agent
· Knowledge of a Property Management System such as Opera or RMS, is preferred
· You have a friendly personality and positive attitude, with exceptional attention to detail
· Strong skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook, together with good written and verbal communication
· Unrestricted Driver's License and Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
· Ability to assist guests with luggage, including managing stairs
