Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Officer to join our team at Mercure Perth. This role is integral to ensuring the ongoing upkeep and smooth operation of the hotel’s facilities, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

·  Perform routine maintenance tasks and general repair work. Including painting, decorating and waste removal.
·  Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively.
·  Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff to ensure minimal disruption.
·  Assist in maintaining hotel equipment, fixtures, and fittings in accordance with safety and operational standards.
·  Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations.
·  Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major concerns to management.
·  Comply with workplace health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications

·  Previous experience in a maintenance role within a hotel or similar environment.
·  Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
·  Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance.
·  Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
·  Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
