Pullman & Mercure Melbourne Albert Park are seeking a passionate, adaptable and organised Group Reservations Agent

About the Role!

Joining the commercial heart of our hotel team and reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be part of a team responsible for the planning of group reservation bookings including conference & events, sporting, corporate, special event, inbound and ad-hoc groups. You will work with our Sales and Planning teams and clients to ensure our group reservations are planned effectively and efficiently.

As a Group Reservations Agent your key responsibilities will include: 

·  Management of group room blocks and rooming lists.
·  Handle group accommodation queries and special requests. 
·  Manage Hotel inventory with relation to Group Reservations.
·  Prepare group information and briefing for relevant Hotel departments.
·  Proactively seek and address feedback from clients and develop ongoing client relationships.
·  Quoting and securing group accommodation from non-catered groups and managing contracting, billing and handover for these groups. 

Working with a dedicated team, you will utilise your strong relationship and administrative skills; collaborating with other departments to build and maintain partnerships with our existing / potential guests and clients to drive results.

Qualifications

About you!

·  A desire and commitment to building strong client relationships.
·  Excellent communication skills, using various channels to stay connected with internal and external teams.  
·  An eye for detail and efficient time management skills.
·  A desire for continued growth.
·  Experience in a hotel environment, and with hotel property management systems (Opera, Delphi) an advantage but not essential.
