Key tasks

Reporting to the Restaurant & Bar Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of your shift in either the buffet breakfast and a la carte lunch or the dinner a la carte & buffet service or conference operations. You will welcome all guests into the restaurant and ensure your team are delivering not just the expected minimum service standards to all our customers, but also providing that exceptional Novotel service which will surprise and delight.

You will be a confident and enthusiastic person that has a minimum 1 year previous supervisory skills in a Food & Beverage setting backed up with various dining service styles to give you a well rounded knowledge of Food & Beverage.

Essential requirements for this role include:
• Passion for delivering genuine and effective service;
• Proven experience in managing a range of guest challenges;
• Experience with managing guest complaints and feedback
• Experience in a leadership role in F&B, and confident in managing team performance, and development;
• Minimum of 1 year previous supervisory experience; and
• Flexibility with your availability particularly evenings & weekends.
• Overseeing the F&B operations on a daily basis
• Handling of large conference groups (up to 250 pax)
• Continuously driving the team to maintain and provide high standards of service
• Must hold current New Zealand work rights

The successful person will possess excellent people skills and, think outside the box as well as having the knowledge to deal with difficult situations by thinking quickly on your feet to reach a successful end result.
