Key tasks

This role is for someone who has an absolute passion for Food and Beverage and can excite that passion in their team members through training, and leadership. You will be reporting to the Restaurant & Bar Manager. If you think that you match the above description and have luxury/upscale experience, then we would love to hear from you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the efficient running of the food and beverage areas to obtain positive guest satisfaction

Familiarise yourself with VIP and regular guests to ensure their requests and needs are met

Set up systems to protect and maintain control of restaurant service equipment, correctly recording breakages and carry our regular stock takes

Ensure staff is competent in dining menu and wine list knowledge and can maximise sales to guests

Ensure guest billing is completed accurately following hotel procedure and that correct charges are posted

Team development, training and co-ordination

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience in a similar position in a Luxury or Upscale hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.

Experience in Ala Carte Service

Strong leadership skills and ability to manage, train and develop talent

Excellent communication skills

NZ citizen, permanent resident or hold a current and valid work visa/permit.
