Job description

Key tasks

-Prepare coffee and hot drinks.
-Deliver Food & Beverage to the highest standards.
-Explain the menu to guests, assisting those with special needs or preference.
-Offer advice on suitable beverages.
-Deliver orders promptly and liaise with the kitchen on special requests.
-Keep tables and service areas clean and tidy.
-Maximise revenue by up selling items.
-Promptly answer the telephone and maximize sales opportunities through knowledge of product and suggestive selling.
-Work at the Bar as required by the Assistant Restaurant and Bar Manager.

Essential and optional requirements

-Minimum 6 months experience in a similar role, preferably including 5 star experience.
-Bar experience is a must.
-Projects professional image at all times through personal presentation / interpersonal skills.
-Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
-Great attention to detail.
-Initiates contacts and establishes rapport easily.
-Organises time and work efficiently.
-Has the aptitude and willingness to undertake further development with Sofitel.
-Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as part of the job role.
