Job Description

Sofitel Wellington invites you to elevate your career as a Kitchen Hand, where luxury meets impeccable service.

We are looking for a friendly and energetic Part-time Kitchen Hand who can join our awesome Kitchen Team!

Primary Responsibilities:

·  Work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to support daily kitchen operations
·  Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times
·  Assist with keeping work areas, equipment, and kitchen sections clean, organised, and compliant at all times
·  Maintaining the cleanliness of the cooking and storage areas
·  Dishwashing
·  Mise en place (basic food preparation, assisting the chefs)

This role is Part-Time (Minimum 8 hours per week) - Must hold full NZ working rights. 

Qualifications

·  Full NZ Working rights
·  Strong organisational and time management skills
·  Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
·  A commitment to professional presentation and behaviour at all times
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·  Physical fitness to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift)
·  Willingness to work weekends and public holidays in line with operational requirements
·  A desire to grow and progress within Sofitel
