Job description

Key tasks

The Club Signature Angel is to provide positive guest experiences and provide excellent service through a courteous attitude and work efficiency. You will be with our elite guests in the Club Signature Lounge providing service higher than any VIP service you have seen before!

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of all areas of the Club Signature including Front Office and Food & Beverage.
• Accurately complete registration of guests, securing payment and issuing of access keys in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner.
• Accurately complete the checking out of guests ensuring that settlement of accounts is received and folios are completed.
• Post charges to guest’s accounts and folios in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure that cash float is maintained in an accurate manner and that balancing of float is completed end of shift.
• Assist and respond to all customer enquiries whilst actively promoting The Star facilities ensuring the provision of accurate information.
• Provide a high level of customer service to both external and internal customers and reinforce wherever possible our commitment to customer service.
• Process complementary room reservations ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Liaise directly with guests to co-ordinate and deliver products and services which meet and exceed their expectations.
• Maximise the use of the guest’s name wherever possible, and thank the guest at every interaction
• Ensure hand over information is properly communicated to the next shift ensuring all shift duties have been completed as per the shift checklist
• Actively sell to available rooms inventory with the key objective to maximise rooms revenue and make every call a sales opportunity

Essential and optional requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Computer literacy is required (Opera preferred)
• Minimum 12 months experience in either Food and Beverage or Front Office in a hotel
• Luxury experience is advantageous
• Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays
• The right to live and work within New Zealand
