Job Description
Conference & Event Services Coordinator
The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are as listed below, but not limited to these:
· Prepare and distribute all materials and correspondence such as sales contracts, memos, letters, banquet event orders, amenity requests and sales proposals for assigned Catering Sales Manager
· Initiate Catering Sales booking process by creating accounts / bookings, establishing departmental files and generate timely notification to affected departments pertaining to all types of guests and clients’ inquiries
· Banquet menus revision and updating Catering Sales Managers’ database
· To perform administrative duties (e.g. copying, filing of proposals and contracts) and checking of catering sales mail boxes daily
· Generate reports when required by Catering Sales Managers and or Director of Conference Services/Catering Sales.
· To support Adhoc duties required by the Catering Sales Mangers.
· To participate in departmental and hotel activities and events.
· To provide coverage for other Coordinators in their absence.
· To perform reception duties in the absence of the receptionist
· Assist with any other sales support projects and duties as requested
· Assist in other departments within Sales & Marketing Division whenever necessary
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 1 year experience in the hotel industry
· Candidates must possess at least GCE “O” level certificate
· Strong written and verbal communication skills(Multi-lingual as necessary)
