Pullman Auckland is looking for a talented and passionate Commis Chefs wishing to expand their knowledge in a luxury hotel environment. Hospitality will always be about experiences and connecting with people. Through your exemplary, professional and welcoming attitude you will embody the essence, style and spirit of the Pullman brand at all times. Working closely with all departments, you create a place for our global nomads to feel accomplished and energized, as well as facilitate meaningful and interesting interactions for them while on the road.

PLAY TO YOUR STRENGTHS

Reporting to the Chef De Cuisine, your key responsibilities will include:

Provide efficient, friendly, and professional service to all guests, making all guests experience positive.
Assigned duties organised and completed efficiently and productively.
Ensure all food produced is in line with kitchen recipes and standards.
Prepare and cook all food items in specific area of responsibility with a sense of urgency.
Ensure that work area, equipment and section is kept clean at all times, in accordance with current health and hygiene regulations.
Any other reasonable request as required by your Supervisor or Hotel Management.

To be successful in your application, you must exhibit the following qualities:

Be amazing . You will have an outgoing personality with genuine passion for Hospitality and customer service
Be flexible. You must be able to work over 30 h per week across 7 day roster
Be Driven. You are all about quality and presentation and you have the desire to progress in hospitality
Show initiative. You are approachable team player and you can think outside of the square
Be a juggler. You are able to manage multiple tasks at any given time
Whilst talent and attitude are our primary requirements, ideally you also have:

The right to work in New Zealand
Fluent in English
Exceptional grooming and articulate in communication
Professional Diploma in cookery preferred
Please note, to be successful in this role, you must be able to work over 30 h per week.
