Being exceptionally organized and able to manage multiple tasks, your responsibilities will include:

•Daily food preparation, ensuring that the quality of food is in line with Pullman standards.

•High level of preperation involved daily, sometimes catering to 350 in house guests; three meals a day.

•Be familiar with the other kitchen sections, promoting flexibility and productivity.

•Assist in driving service standards to ensure highest service delivery possible.

•Thorough understanding around kitchen hygiene, environmental and food safety standards

is proud to be operating as a Managed Isolation Facility supporting the New Zealand boarder team to host self-isolating guests.

Our obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 is to take all reasonable, practicable steps to eliminate, or otherwise control, known risks. Therefore, we operate in a level 4 environment at all times. With full PPE and WHS protocols in place.

 To apply for this role all applicants must have or be willing to receive the COVID19 Vaccination upon commencing employment. Working at New Zealand’s border at this time is a high-risk working environment, and the COVID-19 vaccination provides a significant additional control to protect our people, their loved ones, and the wider community against the virus.

Successful candidates must also be willing to undertake mandatory COVID-19 swab every 14 days.


YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:

We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie who enjoys working in a busy environement.

•Minimum experience of 2 years experience in a commercial kitchen.

•Diploma in Culinary Arts.

•Exceptional organisational and guest service delivery skills

•Thorough understanding around kitchen hygiene, environmental and food safety standards.

•Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to effective communicate to a wide diverse audience

•Ability to work well in a busy environment, while maintaining high standards

•Ability to work a rotating roster- weekends and Public Holidays.

•Candidate must hold a Valid work Visa.
