Job description

Key tasks

- Contribute to the restaurant service and the quality of production by managing you own section.
- Ability to work autonomously and multi task to meet set deadlines
- Prepare mis en place, ensuring there are adequate levels for service
- Prepare and cook all food orders with a sense of urgency
- Monitor food preparation and wastage costs control these by following efficient preparation methods and standard recipes
- Monitor daily kitchen food and product requirements and order stock as required
- Appreciates and maintains an effective outlet for stress
- Good communication skills both, verbal and written – English essential

Essential and optional requirements

- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, minimum three years in a fine dining & a la carte commercial kitchen environment, preferably 5 star luxury environment;
- Certification in National Certificate in Hospitality Level 4 in Professional Cookery or equivalent
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
- Good presentation and grooming
- Good understanding of food hygiene standards and Health and Safety requirements
- Has the ability and willingness to undertake further development
- Flexible approach in adapting to international luxury guest needs..
