Key tasks

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

•Confirm all event related information with clients
•Establish and maintain rapport with clients, prior to, during and post event, encouraging repeat business
•Drive new business through prospecting efforts and relationship building to ensure quarterly goal is met
•Organize bookings from site visit and contract phase through departure, including event requirements, food & beverage, guest room requirements, audio visual. Ensuring you coordinate and attend tastings
•Create floor plans for each event to ensure banquets and clients are in agreement prior to set up and obtain guarantees for F&B functions – assist in detailing and servicing
•Create detailed event orders/proposals and resumes to ensure all operational departments are provided accurate information in a timely manner
•Initiate billing procedures, ensuring any deposits and/or credit applications are received with adequate information and within an acceptable time frame
•Conduct site visits and pre-event meetings with clients and pertinent departments to confirm all relevant details are communicated generating a BEO
•Conduct and/or attend daily meeting to review event contracts and ensure last minute changes are communicated with appropriate departments
•Sales experience preferred
•Attend catering/sales conventions/networking events
•Utilize Delphi system for accurate blocking of events, groups, traces, and generation of BEOS

Job Requirements:
•College graduate, preferably in Business or Hotel Management
•Ability and willingness to work weekends and evenings as required
•Proven track record of exceeding goals through individual efforts
•Minimum of 2 years of hotel management experience, preferably in a luxury hotel
•A reasonable understanding of the upper-upscale or luxury hotel industry
•Basic computer skills (typing, Delphi or similar, Microsoft Office)
•Excellent verbal and written English skills
