Key tasks

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Evaluate the operations and procedures and suggest improvements to the Banquet Operations Manager.
To assist the F&B Supervisor / Captain on various assigned work.
Assist in leading guests to their respective function rooms as per event order.
To confirm with the designated F&B outlet (for lunch/ dinner) the actual number of pax against the event order or other arrangements
Bring guests to designated F&B outlet as planned for their meal.
Run a given table planning efficiently and smoothly.
Delegate duties and responsibilities to subordinates.
Ensure a high quality standard of food and beverage service is observed.
Offer and serve food and beverage orders efficiently as per event order.
Assist the Banquet Servers in clearing and setting tables.
Adhere to all Hotel rules, regulations, and policies.
Enforce all pre-check and check control procedures
Ensure that no reusable beverage is wasted.
Check and follow-up on any physical defects of the function rooms.
Check on the cleanliness of the function rooms.
Demonstrate understanding of and adherence to the Hotel’s regulations outlined in the employee’s handbook.
Check all employees regularly for cleanliness, appearance, and ensure they take pride in their uniform and Outlet team.
Directly supervise all aspects relating to the operations.
Monitor the quality and quantity of all food and beverage items served.
Control breakages and losses of operating equipment.
Operate the POS Micros system effectively and have a control of the bills.
Regularly inspect equipment and ensure that they are well-maintained and in good working order.
Report all guest incidents and Lost and Found items to the Manager.
Attend service briefings.
Bid the guest farewell and thank them for their patronage.
Remember the guests’ names and address them by their names if possible.
Enquire guests’ satisfaction and handle guests’ requests.
Handles the guest complaints.
Attend and contribute to staff briefings/ meetings.
Maintain good communication with all other Hotel departments.
Create a sound and strong working relationship with all staff.
Provide orientation for new recruits.
Demonstrate understanding and adherence to the Hotel’s regulations.
Provide and evaluate training.
Attend all training classes without fail.
Carry out occasional assignments or projects as designated by the Banquet Operations Manager.
To be ready and responsible to perform any other duties as designated or required by Management from time to time.
