We are looking for a leader to become our Assistant Meetings & Events Sales Manager. You will be an essential part of our hotel's large and diverse Sales team at Pullman Auckland. Reporting to the Meetings & Events Sales Manager, this role will help drive business to reach revenue growth targets and continue to lead the way as Auckland's premier Meeting and Events venue.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proactively seeking enquiries, for a range of Meetings & Events

• Effectively taking client enquiries, for all range of Meetings & Events.

• Working closely with the Sales team to ensure maximization of all revenue generating opportunities.

• Assisting in leading a positive selling culture within the team and the hotel, actively promoting active selling of all areas.

• Convert sales leads provided into new business opportunities.

Skills

Level of Education Bachelor / Licence
Areas of study Hospitality
Professional experiences 1 to 2 years
Languages essential English (Primary tongue)

Essential and optional requirements

- Current eligibility to work in New Zealand for a minimum 1 year
- A background in recognizing and securing new business opportunities.
- Experience in a fast paced meetings & events or reactive sales environment.
- Proven results in sales and achieving targets
- Driven to succeed in a hardworking fun environment
- An understanding of effective yield management and dynamic pricing structures
- Opera and Delphi knowledge advantageous
