Key tasks

The Front Office Department is looking for an Assistant Front Office Manager. This position is available as soon as possible. This is a permanent, full time position.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

The position must be focused on ensuring guest and employee satisfaction. The position will assist in managing expenses within the budget, payroll, scheduling, discipline, department training, hiring, analyse reports, yield minded and oversee property management systems; as well as being Guest focused.

• Oversees the satisfaction of all guest requests and the resolution of all complaints received by the Front Desk and Communications department
• Provides managerial support for Front Desk, Concierge, Bell Services and Communications (PBX) in the daily operational duties for these areas
• Consistently offer exceptionally friendly, professional, efficient and engaging service at reception, registration, and account settlement for all hotel guests
• Communicate through pre-shift logs, emails and departmental meetings all pertinent information for the respective shift and areas of operation
• Ensures adherence to all hotel cashier and credit policies
• Assist the Front Office Manager in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed

• Develops and updates guest rooming procedures;
• Ensure proper staffing and scheduling of all Front Office staff in accordance to productivity guidelines
• Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
• Other duties as assigned

Ability to work well in stressful and high-pressure situations.
Ability to acquire and maintain relationships e.g., team members and guests.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
Hotel Front Desk managerial experience preferred.
Accounting and NYC union experience is a plus
Good computer skills are required.
Pleasant telephone demeanor.
Experience in managing a diversified team.
