Job description

Key tasks

The position is responsible for all technical and maintenance aspects of the hotel as assigned by Chief Engineer.
• Assist to manage short and long term planning of engineering department.
• Managing and overseeing the day-to-day operation of engineering team to deliver an excellent service experience and product quality to Hotel Guests and Team Member.
• Control and follow up all maintenance issues within the hotel, the preventive maintenance program and performing maintenance checks.
• Ensure smooth running of all the hotel’s technical process, installation and managing renovation projects, develop emergency programs, and take on special projects as assigned
• Runs regular checks on technical equipment to prevent any problems, and propose corrective action plan to Chief Engineer, as well as implements corrective action plan as assigned by CE.
• Tracks and treats any recurrent technical problems in the hotel and report to CE.
• Responsible for maintenance issues within the hotel and perform daily checks around the hotel.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment within the hotel.
• Maintenance of all hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure they are in safe condition and take action when any unsafe situations arise.
• Control and undertake assigned capital projects including construction and commissioning.
• Managing energy cost efficiently, and applies water hygiene procedures.
• Check and follow the health and safety procedure of the hotel – following the standard of Accorhotels Environmental Charter and InterREACT.
• Follow all emergency programs and the APACHE Accorhotels Process Action Crisis, Hazards & Emergency. Check and maintain fire security installations are in good working order.

Essential and optional requirements

• Bachelor Degree or diploma in electronics or technical studies, or degree in hotel maintenance.
• Must be professionally certified in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
• Must have not less than five years operating experience in a hotel engineering department, and has a global view of all the hotel’s technical needs.
• Must be familiar with the operations and priorities of all other hotel operating departments.
• Must have practical and theoretical skills in related areas: cold-storage, air-conditioning, building pathology, water processing, Public Building regulations, Boiler, Kitchen Equipment, Fire Alarm, AV system, Laundry Equipment, PABX, CCTV, Communication System or other technical service.
• Knowledge and experience of associated computer applications.
