Job description

Key tasks

Reporting to the Asset Manager, he/she provide the necessary support to the asset manager in his role of optimizing the value creation by managing the life cycle of the hotel portfolio assets (acquisition / performance / renovation / disposal…).

Purpose:

• Support the asset managers into translating the Hotel Invest strategy into their respective areas of responsibility
• Provide necessary reports and ad hoc information as requested by the management in order to help the decision making process

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare and undertake the relevant analysis in order to support the property strategy for the hotel portfolio: asset acquisition / disposal / maintenance using the AMAP (Asset Management Action Plan)
• Support in preparing and reviewing data rooms for future transactions
• Undertake some relevant benchmark market analysis in order to maintain and develop knowledge of the markets of current and future competition in the segment i.e.: local market trends, mid-term plan for local authorities (local urbanisation plans)…
• Support in providing the necessary analytical tools to follow up the hotel performances (P&L analysis, Guest Satisfactions analysis, department margins, maintenance budget, benchmark operational performance of comparable hotels,..)
• Monitor performance versus Business Plans/budget for implemented Capex projects into the portfolio
• Work in collaboration with internal departments (technical, legal and financial…)

Essential and optional requirements

Profile and competencies:

• Masters/MBA or similar in finance/real-estate/hospitality
• Relevant experience in a similar role
• Knowledge/operational experience of hospitality / hotel real-estate would be an advantage
• Knowledge of general financial principles in business (P&L, analysis, cash-flow…)
• At ease with legal, financial and real-estate issues
• Ability to encourage collaboration between parties with different areas of expertise
• Analytical skills and ability to take a global view
• Relational skills: listens well, empathetic and works efficiently in a team
