Job Description

To utilize education and experience in the efficient operation, maintenance and repair of the physical plant, structure, utility services, equipment, fixtures, and furnishings for the hotel facility and associated buildings

The HVAC Team Leader is primarily responsible for leading a team of HVAC Technicians in providing technical support and coaching to ensure effective interventions, and timely response to complaints and end-user satisfaction.

He is also responsible for ensuring proper execution of all needed preventive maintenance for all types of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, as well as supervising all outsourced HVAC works and repairing university equipment and assets.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·  You are required to take proper care of all material and tool.
·  Operates and maintains the University’s HVAC systems (chilled water, VRV, DX) along with their distribution network (piping systems, FCU’s, pumps, AHUs), in addition to refrigeration systems
·  Performs all required period inspection of HVAC systems
·  Supervises and tracks the preventive maintenance programs for above systems and the repair history of equipment
·  Communicates HVAC job needs and requirements with staff and contractors
·  Tracks job-related correspondence and communication pertinent to the assigned tasks
·  Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned such as but not limited to night shifts and weekend duties
·  You are required to keep your working environment clean and tidy free from all potential hazard
·  Self-started and proactive profile
·  Should be able to implement and follow preventive maintenance on the HVACR units
·  Should be able to manage the stock level
·  Should have proper control and monitoring of the tools, equipment and materials to complete the job in a safe and efficient manner.
·  Carries out for the correct operation and maintenance for HVACR systems (extractors, air condition, cold room, freezer etc…).
·  Perform preventive maintenance and direct maintenance to all HVACR system.
·  Follow plans and specification to install and service the units
·  Install parts such as Compressor, motor, condenser, evaporator, air filters, .switches and gauges and copper lines for gas, refrigerant, compressed air and chilled water
·  Attach pipe line to AC and check the leakage of the system.
·  Work with other department, the jobs get do be done,
·  Check that the part are lined up and fit properly.
·  Fill system with gas or fluid and test foe leaks
·  Remove test gas or fluid using vacuum pumps and fill these with refrigerant in accordance with regulation and governing procedures.
·  Test the unit and make adjustments to make sure that it work correctly
·  You will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other related duties as assigned by the management.  The hotel reserves the right to update, revise or change this job description and related duties at any time.   

SKILLS & ABILITIES (REQUIRED TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS)

·  Vacational/High Technical Studies Level (TS), with relevant specialization in Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical
·  Minimum 10 years of experience in the same field, with experience as a team leader
·  Customer service oriented
·  Good level of English communication, computer literacy is a plus
·  Strong interpersonal and communication skills
·  Physically fit to perform above duties
·  Sound knowledge in HVACR system
·  Certificate/diploma in related field
·  Knowledge in basic health and safety related to this field and you are required to abide to.

Qualifications

 

·  Diploma or Trade Certificate in area of expertise
·  Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospitality industry with multi-trades at a supervisory level, and hands on experience in appropriate trade.
