Job Title: UKI V&A Finance & Accounting specialist

Career Level: 9 – Specialist

Location: Dublin

Overview

The UKI V&A Finance & Accounting specialist supervises the financial accounts of the UKI business with an emphasis on the newer co code entities and manages the monthly close process, reporting directly to the UKI Stat and Tax manager

Responsibilities

· Manage the preparation of month-end accounts and reporting including monthly close, analytical review of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts, review of Balance Sheet reconciliations and ad-hoc reporting.
· Look at the new company codes, the V&A entities and connect across the DNP, intercompany and payroll aspects while liaising with the dedicated global V&A team
· Preparing the Statutory Accounts for the acquired entity using Onesource tool
· Liaise with the Tax Assistant manager in the preparation of the tax computation
· Supporting the Auditors in the review of year-end statutory preparation
· Ensure there is a visible plan on future actions for business transfers and amalgamation of these into Accenture.
· Analyse and report on revenue, intercompany, payroll and DNP for the various co codes under your scope and develop an in-depth understanding of the UKI Accenture business.
· Prepare and review various types of journal entries on a monthly basis to ensure US GAAP compliance and work with other local finance teams to understand business events.
· Prepare monthly reporting for the UKI Financial Controllers on a regular basis.
· Review monthly internal controls in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.
· Pursue continuous improvement of accounting processes with a view to making them more efficient.
· Maximise team performance through target management and motivation.
· Ability to multi task and provide cross team support as required

Qualifications and Experience:

·  ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA
·  3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
·  Exposure to US GAAP, IFRS and previous experience with SAP an advantage
·  Proficient in Excel
