Job Description:
The DevOps Architect will have deep knowledge in Software Product Development processes and the design and implementation of DevOps Enablement tools (e.g. GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Chef). In this role, you will be expected to:
· Assess the current state of SW tool automation across the full SW Development lifecycle;
· Prescribe necessary work to introduce SW automation to a client's R&D organization through process definition, training/coaching and tooling enablement;
· Architect the prescribed automation assets;
· Lead a team to develop and deliver automation assets as well as train client resources in use and management of such tools;
· Sell the next wave of SW Automation projects;
· Influence training and hiring strategy for your consulting practice in the domain of SW Engineering Automation;

Desired profile

·  Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences or similar;
·  Relevant Agile qualification would be advantageous;
·  Certification in AWS / Google/ Azure would be advantageous;
Experience Required:
·  Minimum two years of experience working in Software Product Development/Engineering Process/Methods area;
·  Minimum two years architecting DevOps platforms covering the full SW Development Lifecycle;
·  Minimum two years consulting experience or equivalent in an industry role;
·  C++/Java, Linux, OO development background;
·  Experience of Lean methods such as value stream mapping and Kaizen;
·  Two years of experience in working with multiple sprint teams to dynamically allocate non-production environments for top priority agile development projects;
·  Two years of experience setting up Git repositories for projects, managing multiple projects' workflows, and troubleshooting complex issues with Git;
·  Two years of experience in setting up and managing dependency management tools such as Maven, NPM, etc.;
·  Two years of experience in creating and managing jobs in build management tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Grunt, etc.;
·  Two years of experience with agile development (SCRUM, Kanban, etc.) and within an agile project team (either Agile by definition or agile in ability to perform cross-functional tasks quickly) – balance multiple projects and collaborating closely with other development teams;
·  Two years of experience with managing, setting up, and provisioning projects in Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (e.g. Jenkins, BuildBot, etc);
·  Two years of experience with Linux (writing shell scripts);
·  Two years of experience Hands-on configuration and management experience with one or more modern configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc);
