Job Description:

· Responsible for placing Cross Connect orders and establishing Peering connection with different global network entities.
· Assigns patch panel and ports correctly.
· Ensures accurate creation of contract for cross connect orders
· Places order requests for router patching if applicable.
· Ensures accurate creation of circuit path designs.
· Responsible in performing light test, ping test and BGP test.
· Escalates missed milestones, ping testing, and overseeing implementation of network capacity for corporate offices and data centres worldwide.
· Manages cradle-to-grave implementation activities to meet aggressive deadlines
· Leads discussions with carriers and external customers, work closely with internal departments, and document tickets in status tracking database.
· Protects account and organization's value by keeping information confidential.

Desired profile

Qualifications :


Skills Needed:

·  2-3 years experience in Telecommunications / Network Provisioning (preferably with a Telecommunications / Communications Services company).
·  Experience and working knowledge on OSI Layer 1 (Physical) and 2 (Datalink) troubleshooting (WAN point to point connection)
·  Good understanding of IP and WAN networking (BGP, Private and Public peering)
·  Familiarity with SDH, SONET, and Ethernet concepts
·  Basic knowledge of cabling infrastructure such as patch panels, cross-connects and fiber types Experience working with internal groups (e.g., order entry, test & turn-up, sales), and third party client/vendors and LEC's (preferred).
·  Good English written/verbal communication and customer engagement skills Strong focus on providing an outstanding user experience
·  Must be detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills
·  Able to work independently and also in a team environment
·  Experience with inventory database systems
·  Capable of managing high pressure and short timelines, with the willingness to be flexible Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously and adapt to changing projects and processes

Type of information being reviewed/processed:

·  Turn-up- turning up of connection between Peers
·  Decommission- decommissioning of connection between Peers which includes termination of Contract.
·  Augment- upgrade on existing connection
·  Public Peering- turning up/Decommissioning of Public peering.
·  Hotcut- scheduled maintenance activity to an existing connection.
·  Lacp Conversion- converting of existing link into logical bundle before adding additional bandwidth.
·  Add IPv6-adding of IPv6 on an existing connection by configuring the router allocated to peer.
