Role: Java Developer

Location: Newcastle-upon-Tyne

Travel: Possibility for travel to client sites throughout the UK

We have Software Developer roles available across the following Accenture career levels depending on skills and experience:

Software Developer Analyst: Up to £30,800+

Software Developer Senior Analyst: Up to £39,820+

Software Developer Specialist / Team Lead: Up to £51,480+

Qualifications :

What skills & experience are we looking for?

·  Functional programming experience or significant Java experience is essential
·  Working knowledge of PLAY! framework
·  Working knowledge of Linux or Unix is preferable
·  Prior experience working in Agile development teams
·  Working knowledge of TDD/BDD
·  Knowledge of SCM tools (Git) and a variety of IDE's (Eclipse)
·  Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
·  Highly motivated self-starter
·  Strong verbal and written communications skills
·  Experience working in a client facing environment is preferable

What responsibilities will you have?

·  Agile software development for high profile government services
·  Participation in the community of practice
·  Fix support to regression test and operational test teams
·  Adherence to quality assurance processes
·  Delivery of work to agreed milestones

For some Accenture career levels team management responsibilities will form part of the role.

All applicants should be flexible between Monday and Friday and prepared to work at any of our client locations across the UK.
