Job Summary

The Career Advisor role supports general human resources activities. He/she works with leadership to understand the business environment and to determine, develop and execute innovative solutions to address work priorities. While the position will focus on a specific Operating Group, the role may be reassigned to support different vertical from time to time in order to meet the changing needs of the business.

The Career Advisor is also responsible for managing the scheduling of resources for their respective resource pool, undertaking the critical set of processes which helps to identify and propose the right talent to ensure fulfillment of all open roles and for managing/monitoring people productivity targets. The Career Advisor works with the Resource Pool Supply/Demand Specialist to focus on supply/demand management activities in order to deliver resources to fulfill demands at the right time and price to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities

General HR

· Serves as an advisor/coach to line managers on people related matters such as employee performance, employee relations and new initiatives etc.
· Facilitates employee engagements, people programs and activities by coaching line managers and provide advisory support to executives
· Team with other Career Advisors to share and implement best practices
· Support Human Capital Strategy initiatives as applicable

Performance Achievement, Professional Development, and Training

· Execute Career Management programs and processes and understand Career Development assets/tools content and educate supervisors
· Implement & Coordinate performance achievement process

Employee Relations and Employee Transitions

· Support and advise executives on HR policy, ensuring compliance to the company's policies
· Serve as an escalation point for personnel and employee relations issues and provide guidance and intervention, as needed, to resolve personnel issues
· Coach line managers, enabling them to develop and guide employees and become more effective in handling people matters

Talent Supply Chain Management

· Anticipate and address skills shortages, excess capacity and supply/demand imbalances before there is any unwanted impact to business
· Understand the talent supply landscape of the resource pool and underlying implications for the workforce and pyramid mix
· Understand short-term and long-term business expansion plans and build them into the supply plans for the resource pools – this includes outputs of Capacity Planning, Talent Planning, and/or Skills Planning.
· Have overall accountability for demand fulfillment for all the roles assigned to their resource pool
· Own all metrics related to people productivity and utilization including current and forecast chargeability

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Work Experience

·  Minimum of 3 - 5 years of professional work experience
·  Experience of delivering HR services to internal / external clients is preferred
·  Capability to understand and balance the impact of scheduling decisions on all of the business outcomes (overdue demand, productivity, labor cost, employee engagement, etc.)
·  Capability to understand and appreciate a project's perspective on unfilled demand, and be able to communicate status, challenges, action/support needed from the project, etc. in order to fill demand
·  Ability to remain confident under pressure and work with project teams collaboratively to address issues
·  Understanding of financial implications of workforce, level, contractor usage, etc. as they are filling demand

·  Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
·  Desire to work in an information systems environment
·  Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
