The Work:


The Global Tax Cost Pool Team collects internal costs that benefit more than one Accenture company and allocates these costs based on revenue or headcount to the benefitting country. The Tax Accounting Intern will work under the direction of a Tax Accounting Senior Manager and Specialist to assist with various aspects of global shared cost pool accounting, including creating metrics, preparing documentation, reconciling expense account allocations, as well as special projects.

Responsibilities
· Work with Accenture subject matter experts to confirm costs meet the cost pool criteria
· Collaborate with finance contacts to build documentation that supports country tax deductions from shared internal costs
· Use visual tools to track project completion
· Reconcile monthly calculation of cost pool billings
· Assist with other computations or research as needed

The US Tax Compliance Summer Analyst will work under the direction of the US Tax Compliance Manager and will assist with various aspects of US federal income tax compliance and income tax accounting, including preparation of income tax and other forms required to be filed with tax authorities, calculating adjustments for quarterly and year-end forecasts, as well as special projects.

Responsibilities
· Assisting in account analysis, acquisition-related activities, maintenance of compliance files and calendars
· Providing requested inputs needed to compute taxable income
· Working collaboratively with both outside service providers and other internal finance teams including US Controllership, Treasury, the India Service Center, and other internal Accenture organizations as needed
· Assisting with other computations or research as needed
Job Requirements
· Paid internships last 10 – 12 weeks and typically begin in late-May/early June and end in early/mid-August

Qualifications :

Here's what you need:
·  Undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting OR Finance with a graduation date between December 2021 and May 2022
·  Minimum overall GPA of 3.2
Bonus points if you:
·  Have spent time learning and practicing financial accounting such as:
·  Reconciliation
·  Invoice Preparation
·  Processing financial transactions
·  Preparing financial budgets
·  Are a PC user and know the Microsoft Office Suite
·  Can work on more than one project at a time
·  Like to work both independently and as part of a team
·  Feel comfortable talking with senior managers
·  Have a phenomenal attention to detail
·  Can work creatively and analytically to solve problems
·  Easily share your ideas in person and in writing
·  Give others the information and assistance they need with a positive 'can-do' customer service attitude
·  Have led a team – at school, at work or in the military
