JOB DESCRIPTION:

Shift Hours: 11:28pm-7:48am

Position Summary:

Perform the general activities pertinent to the department by having a working knowledge of equipment and procedures pertaining to the processing function assigned. A processing operator must adhere to all GMP’s and regulatory standards, follow detailed work order instructions and be capable of performing the duties of either “A” or “B” rotation processing functions.

  • CIP operation and responsibilities
  • MITS system operation
  • PM responsibilities
  • Documentation
  • Milk/Oil Receiving
  • CIP Operations
  • Ingredient Weighing/additions A rotation, dry blending
  • Forklift operation
  • Casein/PIW System
  • Slurry Room Operations

Accountability:

  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the plant operations by producing high quality products in a timely manner for various filling/packaging lines
  • The department will accomplish this objective in accordance with GMP, SMP and safety requirements with minimum product/ingredient loss through efficient use and maximum utilization of manpower assigned
  • The position requires a high degree of attention to detail and an ability to think critically

Education:

High School Diploma/GED required

Qualifications:

  • Examples of Problem Solving or Decision Making CIP problem - product residue noted on post CIP inspection
  • Investigate degree of residue and probable cause
  • Decide if equipment can be satisfactorily hand cleaned, pressure cleaned or CIP’d again
  • Notify supervisor and proceed
  • Other (quality issues, procedural issues, etc.)
  • Needs to have basic understanding of tools and have a basic mechanical aptitude
  • Processing mission is to produce products for all filling lines
  • Processing will process batches according to schedule requirements, equipment capacity, ingredient availability, etc.
