An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales and Clinical Specialist to support our expanding Vascular division based in Melbourne and including Tasmania coverage.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this position is responsible for managing the assigned territory to ensure consistent sales growth and achievement of sales goals and targets by identifying opportunities and gaining new business and market share while maintaining existing business.

The main aspects of this role include:

  • Provide clinical support to nursing staff and Interventional Cardiologists in Cardiac Cath Lab
  • Develop and implement Key Account Management plans to drive Company revenue targets
  • Stay up-to-date with clinical knowledge and become a subject matter expert
  • Ensure that Company strategies are correctly and uniformly implemented
  • Develop new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity in assigned territory
  • Maintain close relationships with key accounts, and ensure their requirements are being met by the company's products where possible
  • Appraise current and planned customer needs and advise on the application of company products and services to customer requirements.
  • Support and organise customer events
  • Comply with reporting requirements on time as required
  • Inventory management of consigned items at account level
  • Represent Abbott in a professional manner that aligns with company image, ensuring activities comply with legal and ethical standards

In addition to the above, relevant experience required :

  • Degree level preferred in a science discipline or equivalent
  • Clinical qualifications/experience of 2 years or more preferred in the Health Care Industry
  • Prior experience selling vascular devices would be advantageous
  • Prior Medical Device selling would be highly advantageous
  • Degree level preferred in a science discipline or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Demonstrated history of over-achieving sales targets
  • Ability to quickly absorb clinical information
