JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary:

The Quality Reliability Engineer II, works closely with development/manufacturing/quality engineering to establish and ensure compliance and quality reliability. Ensure quality of products conform to established standards and agency regulations.

Responsibilities:

Perform reliability engineering and statistical analysis.

• Proactive in finding quality improvements related to Reliability Engineering

• Works cross functionally with Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing and Regulatory to establish measurable, valid product requirements.

• Work collaboratively with product development and design assurance.

• Aides in definition of test equipment as required to accomplish quality responsibilities.

• Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

• Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.

• Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

• Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.

Works with standard office equipment such as telephone, cellular phone, fax/copier, and a personal computer with standard office software.

Work environment varies from well lighted office/cubicle, low to moderate noise level, to a variety of conditions caused by travel requirements such as customer offices, research labs, hospitals, hotels, use of automobiles, commercial travel, weather, etc.

Activities require a significant amount of sitting in front of a computer monitor, some standing and walking. Significant use of hands and arms, plus finger dexterity to reach, point, write, type, operate a computer and other office equipment. Performs tasks that regularly require good correctable vision and hand/eye coordination. Activities also require significant use of voice and hearing for discussions with other employees.

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required preferably in

• Minimum 2+ years of prior experience required; preferably in an electronic testing environment

• Medical device, regulatory environment or pharmaceutical manufacturing is a plus.

• Must have fundamental knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of a particular field of specialization.

• Credentials of a Certified Quality Engineer are a plus.

• Knowledge of GMP, ISO, FDA regulations, and quality systems auditing is desired.

• Must possess good communication and analytical skills

• Ability to work under deadlines.

• Demonstrated strong project management skills, experience leading global projects preferred.

• Demonstrated supervisory experience.

• Engineering experience and demonstrated use of Quality tools/methodologies.

• Solid communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong project management and leadership skills, including the demonstrated ability to lead multi-departmental project teams and resolve quality-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

• Demonstrates technical leadership within the department and outside the department.

• Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.

• Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

• Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.

• Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.

• Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention
