JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Technician II, Process. This position works with Process Development engineers to develop manufacturing systems that include equipment and methods of using the equipment, measurement, analysis and control of the process variables.

Impact this role will have on Abbott:
- Develop, implement and test new processes and tooling

- Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes

- Facilitate process development decision making using computer skills for design and analysis (SPC, Statistical Analysis)

- Assist in writing and preparing technical reports, qualifications and validations

- Maintain materials, tools and facilities necessary for production activities

- Understand work environment issues such as OSHA regulations, FDA Quality Systems regulations and ISO requirements

- Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements

- Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments
- Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors


- Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned


Your experience(s), education and knowledge will further expand Abbott's marketplace success:
- 2 year technical degree preferred

- 2-4 years technician experience

- General manufacturing processing knowledge

- Solid processing equipment troubleshooting and qualification skills required

- Knowledge of industrial controls, fluid power systems and machine design preferred

- Solid problem solving and organization skills required

- Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment

- Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects

- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization

- Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner

- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail

- Ability to travel less than 1%

- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance

- Occasional overtime is a requirement of this position
