Packaging Material Engineer
Abbott Diagnostics Technologies AS (ATN) is part of Abbott Diagnostics, bringing together teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.
The position of Packaging Material Engineer is within our Cardiometabolic Unit located in Oslo, Norway. This role will be a manufacturing change coordinator and subject matter expert (SME) on packing materials.
Manufacturing change coordinator
Master data creation and maintenance
Subsequent BOM initiation following creation of new materials
Ownership of product launch process
Communication with distributors for new SKU set up
Ownership of changes introduced following new materials
Subject matter expert on packaging materials
Responsible for design, development and updating of packaging materials for on market products.
Transfer of packaging materials from design to production for new products
Responsible for cross-functional team working with all aspects of packaging materials and labeling
Work with R&D and Manufacturing to understand critical quality attributes
Work with R&D and Marketing to understand user needs
Work with RA to understand regulatory requirements and labeling claims
Prepare specifications and convey this to the supplier
Background and Experience
Bachelor`s degree or Master`s degree in Mechanics, Engineering, Packaging Science, Packaging Technology.
Preferable 1-5 years experience within a comparable position.
Fluent in Norwegian and English language (Swedish and Danish language would be beneficial).
