JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Arranges wrapped bars to be fed into the cartoning equipment.
  • Aligns bars prior to being packaged.
  • Packs cartons of bars into shippers.
  • Operates wrapper machine
  • Weighs and removes scrap from packaging area.
  • Puts shippers on pallets and prepares pallets for warehouse acceptance.

• Performs quality checks of finished product throughout the packaging process and completes required documentation.
  • Inspects finished product as it enters packaging area, compares findings to a specification and properly documents findings.
  • Inspects filled container to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications.
  • Follows instructions in the batch documentation provided.
  • Properly documents activities that occur in packaging area.
• Keeps area clean and free of trash, scrap and materials not related to the work order being manufactured.
  • Verify and maintain that all equipment is properly clean and sanitary at all times during the shift.
  • Monitors equipment for signs of problems and informs crewleader and maintenance.
  • Follows plant guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices. Always follows proper gowning requirements.
  • Performs a line clearance between work orders.
• Perform other work related duties as assigned.
  • Replenishes packaging supplies.
  • Rotate between positions within the packaging area.

One or three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
