Field Technical Engineer - Normandy and Paris Area (H/F)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Abbott Cardiac Arrhythmia and Hearth Failure Division is looking for a new Field Technical Engineer to work in our Cardiac Rhythm Management and Electrophysiology team. The position is located in Normandy/Paris Region. We are open for candidates which just graduated from an internship in a similar field or with a nursing experience.

The Field Technical Engineer (FTE) is responsible for servicing the current customer base, increasing sales within that base and establishing new accounts. The FTE will be responsible for effectively dealing with customer complaints and recommending consignment in accounts where necessary. The FTE will have an understanding of our product lines and will play a key role of supporting management in the formulation of sales strategies and goals.  The FTE will also be responsible for assisting in the field training of entry level sales representatives and supporting them in the opening of new accounts. The FTE’s have a shared responsibility for all the customers in Normany and IDF. 

The main responsibilities of the role:

• Sales: maintain close customer contact
• Product training: perform product presentations/education for customers
• Customer support: perform technical and clinical support
• Administration: handle orders in co-operation with customer service and administrate software level on equipment in the clinics
• Special functions: support Ensite system NavX cases, EP-med and other products in the Division
• Maintain thorough knowledge/awareness of competitive products.

To be able to maintain the close contact and support with the customers, the employee is required to travel extensively; more than 50 %. The FTE will perform customer visits/support within the region, but also support customers within our region and for his/her own educational purposes.

Your preferred background:

• Biomedical Engineer or Nursing Degree (preferably)    
• High technical and/or clinical experience/education    
• Good skills within sales, communication and education
• High level of English, both written and spoken
