JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Neuromodulation business is an area of expertise for Abbott. This business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. Our Solutions include Proclaim (TM) XR SCS System, the #1 Spinal cord stimulator on the market, Proclaim (TM) DRG Neurostimulator, the only FDA approved DRG therapy and a market leader in radiofrequency ablation therapy, Abbott RFA.  These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum. Our deep brain stimulation technology for progressive diseases help people manage their Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor symptoms, steering away from side effects.

The Advanced Development group at Abbott Neuromodulation creates and assesses future business growth opportunities for under-served patients with Chronic Pain and Movement Disorders. Our location in Plano, TX currently has an opportunity for a Digital Health Product Owner. This role will play a key role in developing, building, and executing a Digital Health Product Portfolio. This is a great opportunity to work in a small team to guide the next wave of innovation at Abbott Neuromodulation and shape the global landscape of Chronic Pain and Movement Disorders.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

· 
Lead requirements gathering effort for non-regulated Digital Health products

· 
Work closely with product management, project manager, upstream marketing, s/w implementation, therapy teams, physicians, patients, and other stakeholders

· 
Responsible for UX/UI application design

· 
Document user story details based on the requirements after reviewing with development teams

· 
Define iteration objectives and defines user acceptance criteria

· 
Attend scrum meetings including stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos

· 
Work hands-on with the development team to ensure product delivery

· 
Align S/W development with product expectations and requirements

· 
Document new and modified features for implementation

· 
Support other non-technical teams, such as sales and marketing in clarifying product function

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

· 
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering/Industrial Design/related technical field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

· 
9 + years relevant work experience

· 
Experience in Application Development

· 
Experience working with Agile processes

· 
Demonstrated ability to quickly ascertain technical aspects of product 

Preferred

· 
Digital Health Product Development experience

· 
2+ years of experience in life sciences, medical device, or pharmaceutical field

· 
2+ years experience in a early stage R&D, upstream marketing, or business development role at a biopharma, medical device, or diagnostics company

· 
Experience delivering s/w based products

· 
Proficiency in Agile tools such as JIRA

· 
Familiarity in working with Azure cloud services
